Service Tours & Traveling Education

Periodically, the Free Cycles crew of staff and volunteers will ride with purpose, whether it be fixing kids' bikes, simply interacting with other communities or scouting expeditions for future trails and safer travels. These rides vary in distance, group size, level of difficulty and purpose.

Facilitating Positive Change

Free Cycles has been establishing connections with a diversity of organizations, agencies, and businesses for years. The accessible resources provided by Free Cycles through collaboration has been invaluable. It is crucial to maintain these relationships for community involvement. Examples include: Pre-Release Center, Youth Homes, the Poverello, Endeavor Homeschool, The University of Montana, The Missoula International School, Missoula in Motion, Spirit at Play Preschool, Winds of Change, the Share House, many Flagship Programs, and more.

MIST is the umbrella organization of Free Cycles. The mission of MIST is to create a network of sustainable transportation systems that are safe, equitable and environmentally sound. MIST focuses on education and outreach, growing relationships and improving community infrastructure. Throughout each of these efforts, public involvement and engagement is essential. Ultimately it is our mission to help Missoula, Montana create a sustainable transportation system on a wide scale, in which outside communities can learn and grow from.
